Cliff Kemp December Result

Cliff started using the Proper Jobs (after a tip off from his good friend Tim Fromant) shortly after I first made the pops available on the Internet, and after using the pops to such good effect earlier this year (2009) at the B.C.A.C. qualifiers, he has gained the utmost confidence in their performance.

This December (2009) Cliff took the Proper Job Pop Ups onto a Kent still water and as a result for his efforts he had these three specimens to photograph.

I would like to say “Nice one Cliff, great result and like you said that Grass Carp must have been a bit of a surprise for December”.

David Moncaster 42lbs 14oz Common

David caught this magnificent common from Bundys pit. He presented one of Geoff Bowers (Active Bait Solutions) food bait creations, which he topped with a Proper Job 11mm Scopex/Cream pop up to form the perfect snowman presentation. The common picked up David’s offering from a depth in excess of forty feet.

Apart from the very memorable capture, David has also given me some very interesting feed-back with regards to how the Proper Job Pop Ups have coped with the excessive depths associated with this hand dug pit. David tested an 11mm pop up tied to a withy pool rig at depths in excess of forty feet and when he reeled in after leaving the small pop up submerged for 24 hours, he found that the 11 miller still popped the rig up perfectly when tested in the margin.

I would like to congratulate David on a top result (possibly made even more special because it’s a December capture) and thank him for his feed-back.

Nick Dodge 36lbs 11oz Linear

Nick has been using the pops as part of his armoury for a while now and one of his tactics is to top off his own food bait with a small brightly coloured pop up fished snowman style and the picture of the pristine conditioned linear is proof that his method is working very well indeed.

I would like to say “Congratulations on another perfectly conditioned, brand new looking specimen”.

Shane Poole 39lbs 04oz Common

Shane placed his order for a selection of proper jobs and asked at the time of ordering if his order would be with him before the weekend as he was fishing a lake with some large commons he would like to catch. A couple of days later he emailed me to say his pops had arrived. Four days later and on his return from his first session using the pops he sent me this cracking picture of a magnificent and pristine conditioned common. The large common took a fancy to a pink cream special fished choddy style.

I would like to say “Congratulations Shane, top result and fingers crossed the first of many”.

Jordan Watson, 20lbs 06oz of “Perfection” and a new personal best as well.

If ever there was a beauty pageant for Carp I think Jordan is holding a serious contender here. The young northern angler has been doing the business in his neck of the woods this season with many fish falling to his tactics. He tempted this beauty with a Chocolate Malt pop up fished choddy style and his capture is the first time the carp has visited the bank in over a year.

I would like to say, “Congratulations Jordan, I think the carp you are holding is the best looking carp I have seen in a very long time with a fantastic scale pattern and colouration”.

Steve Battle 49lbs 08oz mirror

Steve won’t forget the night of 30^th October 2009 in a hurry, as it was on this date that he cast out his bottom baited rig to which he had attached a white proper job pop up to balance his own food bait offering, and it wasn’t long before he scooped his landing net under this magnificent specimen.
Steve is obviously well made up with his capture, and I would like to say that I have fished on this same water when Steve was around, and I cannot think of a more likeable and deserving guy to bag a big un.

“Well done Steve. I am very pleased for you”.

Kurt Demetrious 32lbs 10oz mirror

Kurt was fishing on one of the Linear Fisheries when his friend Ricky Holohan gave him some of the soon to be released Tips to try. When Kurt finished his session he removed his one and only remaining Tip and put it in his tackle bag. His next fishing trip was to Himley Hall where he puts his one and only used Tip back on and whacks it out.
Guess what happens next? He only goes and lands the biggest fish in the lake “Trevor”. “What a result”.

I would just like to say “Congratulation Kurt, top result and a memorable tale too”.

Nathan Fotoohi - 39lbs 08oz mirror.

Nathan made his first purchase of Proper Jobs in September and he also sent me an email stating that if he caught a decent carp he would send me a picture. Well it wasn’t long before this picture appeared in my mail and I think I can safely say that Nathan has been true to his word as the carp looks a very decent one to me. Nathan caught the mirror from a local water and it was only the second time that he had used the pops.

I would just like to say “Congratulations Nathan, you are true to your word”.

Ricky Holohan is continuing his run of success on one of the Linear Fisheries Syndicate Waters. Ricky topped his recent captures with this cracking 34lbs 09oz mirror and I think the smile on his face says all that needs to be said. The carp fell to one of the soon to be released “Tips”.

I would just like to say “Well done mate Top Result”.

Nick Dodge 45lbs 07oz U.K. Common Nick has been putting the Proper Jobs to good use of late as this magnificent 45lbs+ English Common goes to show. Nick used a small pop up to top off his food bait to tempt the rare beast from an undisclosed venue.

I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Nick on the capture of a Carp of a life time. “WHAT A RESULT”.
 

Syndicate Hauling - Ricky Holohon from Birmingham has been doing very nicely at one of his syndicate waters. Ricky has been using 11mm pop ups and the soon to be released “Tips” fished over bait. His first trip to the water produced a mid twenty, his second trip produced a couple of twenties and his third trip produced a mind blowing result with twelve takes and amongst the haul were five twenties, topped by a thirty one pound twelve ounce beauty (a picture of the thirty one can be viewed in the gallery). Needless to say, Ricky is very pleased with the pop ups, which is good news for everybody concerned.

I would like to add my congratulations to Ricky and thank him for his feedback.

More B.C.A.C. Success - Cliff Kemp and Tim Fromant managed to catch 199lbs 15oz of carp during their B.C.A.C. qualifier at Walthamstow No 1 giving them third place and when you consider they were tenth out of the draw (from twelve) you can guess that all the favoured/going swims had already been taken. 11mm pop ups accounted for all of Cliff and Tim’s carp.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Cliff and Tim for their feedback and wish them good luck in the semi finals.
 

Lyndon Hodgson & Philip Dasilva discovered the advantages of using Proper Job Pop Ups when the little baits helped them on their way to victory during their B.C.A.C. qualifying round at Walthamstow’s Lower Maynard Reservoir. Lyndon and Phil managed to catch seven carp for a total weight of 147.03 lbs which was an outstanding result when you consider they finished exactly 100 lbs ahead of their nearest competitors. All their fish fell to 11mm and 13mm Condensed Milk pop ups. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Lyndon and Phil for their feedback and wish them good luck in the semi finals.
 

Daren Norman (a.k.a. The Kent Hauler) nearly finished his spring fishing on Wraysbury One with a brace of carp under his belt. Unfortunately his second opportunity fell off, but he still had this 32lbs + Common to show for his efforts.
Nice one Daren but you will have to come to one of my rig classes!
