Front Cover Shot
"Look at this One” Do they come any better? I think not.
Trevor Pritchard very kindly sent in this picture of an absolutely stunning looking kipper. I think this stunner would make a fine front cover shot for a magazine and take pride of place in any angler’s photo album. I don’t have the weight details of this one but who cares when they look like this. Trevor caught the stunner by topping his food bait offering with a Savoury Crab Tips.
Congratulations Trevor, Top Result. I hope that one day I will catch one as stunning.

Instant Success
John Hinkley had some instant success using the Scopex Combos. Here’s what John had to say:
Hi Kevin
The Scopex Combos you sent me worked very instantly today. I caught two in about 10 minutes angling on them. The first fish was this 20lbs 04oz common.
Cheers
John
Great result John, nothing gives an angler more confidence in their bait, than a fish in the net!

Another Stunner
Jonathan Davies has been doing the business of late with the Proper Jobs and the stunning looking 27lbs 14oz linear shown is just one of many coming his way. Jonathan believes (as I do) that the proper job pop ups give him an edge as they improve the way the rigs work and keep them working for much longer.
Congrats on another cracking stunner!!

Last Minute Take
David Benfield was packing away his gear after a day session and his rods were actually on the ground when the reel started spinning. Here’s what David had to say:
Hi Kev
Firstly, thank you for the recent order of pop ups I put in. Known your brother for a few years and I can remember him giving/selling me some yellow banana pop ups first of all. I didn’t blank all winter. Fished the Park lake over the weekend (days only). Had a right result yesterday, I think the regulars call this one Baby Resident. She/he weighed 33lbs 08oz. Had it on a 15mm Squid & Octoplus pop up.
I would like to say: Congrats on your capture and thanks or the feedback/picture. It’s much appreciated!

Shane Poole has been amongst um as well!
Shane never ceases to amaze me with all the effort he puts in to capture his quarry. I have copied the latest couple of emails I have received, as Shane tells it better than I could!
Hi Kevin
Here’s some feedback for you. Attached is a photo of a 26lbs 12oz mirror I caught along with two doubles. All three fish fell to the Nutty pop ups you sent me, which were cast as single hook baits on a stiff hinge rig. All three fish were taken on the second night of what was a very slow weekend due to the freezing temps at night, after a blank first night, I stayed up well into the early hours of the second night and finally some fish showed. By the sounds of them I could tell they were in front of me, but a little further out than I was fishing, so I cast a rod in the direction of where I thought they were and I was rewarded with three fish for my efforts. Again I must thank you for producing some awesome pop ups which never seem to fail me.
Cheers Shane
NOTE: The Nutty pop ups referred to above are not available on the website at this time.
And one week after receiving the above mail, this one dropped into my inbox:
Hi Kev
I’m back on the winter commons lake again. First session out and there hasn’t been a fish out for 10 days and only 4 fish out in the previous 10 days prior to that. After moving swims three times I managed to nail a fish at 3am this morning, which turned out to be a 26lbs leney. Caught again on your pukka pops, but this time it was caught on a Tutti Frutti fished chod style into a soft silty area. Sorry but only got a mat shot as no one else was close enough to take a photo.
Cheers Shane
Great result Shane and just reward for all your efforts!

And Another Couple of Good-Uns (again)
Alex has been getting amongst um again, banking a 30lbs common using a cream special to balance his food bait and two weeks after I received the above picture/feedback Alex kindly sent me news of another top result. I have copied Alex’s email below for your viewing.
Hi Kevin
Another result on the cream special! Since my last capture 2 weeks ago, I dropped down the lake Friday for the weekend. It was looking bleak for me after 24 hour, so I switched tactics a bit and stuck a 15mm on a chod and dropped it into some light weed, which resulted in a PB common of 34lbs 14oz! The pictures haven’t come out great, but I have attached one anyway.
It doesn’t end there though mate............I gave my mate a couple of pop ups and he banked a PB mirror this afternoon of 38lbs 14oz.
Another order coming your way!!
Simply amazing!
Cheers
Alex
I would like to say: Congrats on another top result, thanks for the pictures/feedback and long may your success continue.

More Horton Results
Steven Morrison has been doing very nicely on the Horton complex of late and here’s what Steve had to say about recent events:
Hi Kevin
Just a quick note to let you know of a great result I had over a recent weekend.
Using your Banana pop ups cut in half to tip my bottom baits, I landed over 90lbs of carp in under 24 hours from a very tricky little water I’ve been fishing.
The 32 is my first English 30+ Common!
Cheers – Steve
That’s brilliant news Steve, your first 30+ common is a milestone for any carp angler. Top result, I’m well pleased for you!

Another Good-Un
Here’s what Alex had to say about his result:
Hi Kevin
Dropped down the lake for the weekend after a 2 month break and managed to sneak out a good-un the first morning. The picture shown = 35lbs 14oz known as the birthmark mirror.
I took it on a critically balanced snowman rig, tipped with a cream special.
Thanks once again for the great bait and service that you provide.
Cheers - Alex
Good skills Alex – Another Good-Un!
Stop Press
Just prior to updating this page, I had another email from Alex who had just captured another of his target fish using the same combo that he used to capture the 35+. This time he’s holding a 37lbs 02oz mirror for the camera. Alex stated that he was over the moon.
I think he’s putting the bait in the right place, which is “Good Angling” in my book.
Congrats once again Alex - Another Good-Un!

Absolutely Awesome Kipper!!!
“Wow” Look at the size of this One.
There’s one thing I like about opening my emails and that is: You never know what’s coming or when. So when I opened the mail from Mark, you could say I was blown away.
Mark fished the one and only Rainbow Lake in France and on the 6th June 2011 one of Rainbows very special prizes came Marks way in the shape this 84lbs 15oz mirror carp known as Briggsy’s fish. The carp took a liking to a Nash Squid Liver Plus bottom bait which had been topped with an 11mm, Red, Spice Blend, Proper Job Pop Up.
I would like to say: Congratulations Mark-Fish of a lifetime-Absolutely awesome kipper-Job done!
PS: Thanks for the feedback, I will definitely be putting a tub of the Spice Blend in my bag when I visit Rainbow later this year. Cheers.

Short Sessions
Shane has been very good to me with regards to feedback on the products, so it was my pleasure to send him some Nutty Blend pops to try. Below are some pictures of four fine looking carp which took a liking to either the Nutty Blend or the ever faithful Squid & Octoplus pop ups, which were fished on stiff hinge rigs. All fish were taken on short day sessions from three different waters.
Also, Shane sent in a picture of his friend and his friends young son “Conner” who joined him on one of his sessions and Shane said that it would make Connors day if his was to appear on the website. So hopefully he will have a good day when he looks above. Connor caught the 15lbs common using one of Shane's rods which had been baited with a Squid & Octoplus pop up.
Once again, thanks for the feedback and pictures Shane. It’s much appreciated.

Horton Result
Back in April 2011, I received an email from Ron, asking if I had any pop ups with a strong liver content and it just so happened that I was going to run off a batch for a pending trip to France. Anyway the pops were run and Ron purchased a few and put them to very good use at Horton.
Ron used the liver pops to top off his bottom bait offering and proceeded to bank four fine specimens in the shape of a, 30lbs 02oz (not shown) & 38lbs mirrors, 35lbs 12oz leather and the incredible Thorpe Park Common at 40lbs 02oz. Do they come any better than this? Answer: NO!
I would like to say: Congratulations Ron. Its pictures like that common which inspire me to keep going, even when the going gets tough. Top Result!

First Time Out
James very kindly sent in this picture of a chunky mirror and here’s a copy of what James had to say in his email.
Hi Kevin
Just a quick email to say I’ve been fishing a reasonable difficult water and struggling for 12 months but first time out with your White Squid & Octoplus pop ups and bang, landed a 27.04 mirror!
Many thanks on the best pop ups out there!!!!
James
Congratulations James and thanks for the picture and feedback. I’m very pleased the pops helped you achieve such a quick result.

Nutty Blend
I’ve know Mark a few years now and I know he knows his stuff and is more than capable of banking more than his fair share of carp when the opportunity arises. So when I have a flavour/attractor package which I know works well, I still send out samples to a few trusted/capable anglers to give them a go. Mark fished the Nutty Blend samples I sent him as a alternative hook bait over a bed of Geoff Bowers Maple Nut food baits and banked four carp including the fine looking specimen shown here.
Once again, thanks for the feedback and picture.

A Good Week
Dave Hill's been down the pond and having a few again. Dave used the Scopex Tips coupled with Baitworks Kingfish food baits to account for the selection of fish shown. Dave also sent in a picture showing the business end he used to such good effect and I have attached a copy of the business end for your viewing.
Congratulations on a good week Dave and thanks for the pictures and feedback, it’s much appreciated.

Hi Kevin

Thanks for making the awesome Tips range. I really do love them. Can't remember last time I cast out without one on!
