Something Borrowed (part 2)
Jason Shaw continues his run of success on his return to his venue. Here's what Jason had to say about his second session on the Bananas:
Hi Kevin
Banana pop ups have done the trick again! I've had Chubby Chops (again), this time at 34lb 04oz. I then had the full linear at 30lb 3oz. This means I have had 5 30lb + carp in the last 2 sessions all off of the pop ups.
Cheers Jason

Another brilliant result Jason! Repeat captures just go to show that the carp can't get enough of a good attractor package!

Change of Tactics
Long time Proper Job user Nigel Bowater very kindly sent me some pictures and feedback of how he got to grips with a local lake. Here's what Nigel had to say about recent events:
Hi Kevin
I have used your superb pop ups since 2010. I generally fish them over established food baits. I think this is a really useful tactic as last season I fished a 2 acre, tricky, shallow pit near to where I live and whilst I caught a few, I didn't feel that I had really got to grips with it and felt that I should have done much better. So for this season a rethink was in order, instead of using your pop ups I decided to use food bait tipped with one of your "Tips" to create a balanced set-up. This tactic has worked really well so far. Please find the following pictures attached: The long mirror, taken at night weighed 37.10 lbs, the scattered linear went 31.05 lbs and the common went 26.05 lbs.
All the best Nige (Bowater)

Congratulations Nigel, that's what I call "Good Angling". It just goes to show that a bit of thought/change of tactics and a dollop of luck can bring improved results!

From the Netherlands to France
Steven Blom from the Netherlands took some proper jobs on a recent fishing trip to France and he's very pleased he did! Here's what Steven had to say about his session:
Hi Kevin
Hope all is well. Your little beauties saved my recent trip to France. Standard snowman presentation didn't provide the action, so I changed to a stiff hinge rig with a 15mm, M/B Scopex/Strawberry in washed out pink, which did the trick. Either fished over a spread of boilies or as singles hook baits, I fished with confidence, no matter if they stayed out there for 24-36hrs.
Thanks,
Steven
Netherlands

That's a couple of chunky mirrors Steven and that star-burst mirror looks great

Chunky Mirror
Richard Lane very kindly sent in these pictures and feedback of his recent captures on the Proper Jobs. Here's what Richard had to say:
Hi Kevin
I thought you might like to see a few recent carp caught from a set of big pits in the Berkshire area. All obviously on your pop ups!
Standouts being the Burgundy, Squid and Octoplus( my favourite).
Also had a few on the new Fishy Peach in Washed-out Camo Brown as well though!
Cheers and thanks again
Rich

Many congrats on your results and thanks for the feedback/pictures. It's much appreciated!

Here's a Nice Selection
Karl Bird had a nice result from his recent trip to France (Etang Le Fays). Mind you, he had to do a bit of work to catch them. Firstly he had to walk around to his intended bait placement area with his spod rod. Cast his spod rod back to base camp. Walk back to base camp and hitch up his fishing rods end tackle to his spod, then walk back to his spod rod and reel his end tackle across the lake. Then attach his rig and drop it in the margin along with a few freebies and finally walk back to base camp and set the bobbin. Here's what Karl had to say about his trip:
Kevin
I've just returned from France with a couple of other friends where I managed to steal a mate's pot of your Squid and Octoplus pop ups and I managed to catch the following fish on the 'borrowed' baits, up to 45lb - hence the order to get my own and replace his! Great baits, I look forward to using them again.

Regards Karl Bird

Congrats on your results Karl. It just goes to show that a little bit of extra effort can work wonders. Good angling!

Stunner!!!!!!!!!!!!
David Moncaster has been using the Proper Jobs as part of his armoury (along with "Active Bait Solutions" excellent food bait range) for a long time now. David very kindly sent me in the following feedback and pictures of a recent capture and I'm sure you will agree that the carp is a "Stunner"! Here's what David had to say:
Hi Kevin

I was fortunate enough to catch a rather nice mirror form Bundys this weekend. As always, I used one of your pop ups over Geoff's bait to catch a 43lb 10oz mirror that hasn't been caught for 2 years.
Ps I smelt some of your spice-blend last week. They definitely have the wow factor.

Absolute Stunner Dave!! I'm well pleased or you!!

They're Getting Bigger
John Fenlon continued his run of success at "Anglers Paradise" in Devon in the shape of this 46lbs mirror. John used a White coloured Condensed Milk pop up to tempt the huge mirror.

Great result John! I'm pleased the Condensed Milk pop ups continues to serve you well.
Something Borrowed (part 1)
Little did Jason Shaw know that a pop up borrowed from a mate would turn out to be something very special!
Here's what Jason had to say:

Hi Kevin
Just thought I'd send you some more pictures of fish caught on your pop ups. I had two on Pineapple & N/Butyric and one on a Banana that I borrowed from a mate to see if they worked. I'm going to be putting an order in this week for some more pineapple ones and definitely the banana ones.
Happy days!!

And just a few days later (after Jason had received his new batch of pop ups) Jason sent me another email and here's what he had to say about his latest session:
Hi Kevin
Thanks for banana pop ups you sent me this week they have already brought results. I've had a 30lb 10oz mirror carp as well as one of the best known fish on Charity lake called Chubby Chops at 35lb 2oz giving me a new PB.

Brilliant result Jason, a New PB is a very Special moment!!
I reckon you must owe your mate a drink (or two).

Scottish Borders Result
Chris Taylor has been catching some really good carp from a Scottish Borders Lake and anybody who knows this area will appreciate just how special his results have been. First up was a chunky linear which came in not far off the magic thirty mark. Then a few days later a cracking scale perfect, dark 31lbs common came to the net, which was followed a few days later by a stunning/dark 21lbs.08oz common.
Here's what Chris had to say:

Thanks Kevin
I've used your pop ups for a few years now, they are the best. I was fishing when I ordered the tubs last week. To say I was delighted when they arrived is an under-statement as I'd totally run out. Put on a pineapple P/U and within 10 mins the rod was away with this chunky 29.08 mirror from a Scottish Borders lake.

And a few days late Chris sent me this email:

I've just got back and I've had an even bigger fish. A 31lb common on a snowman grange/proper job pineapple pop up. I've fished the lake for 13 years to catch a 30lb plus common. To say I'm happy is a huge under-statement!! I'll email you a photo when I've put them on my PC.

Thanks again.
Chris

Many congratulations on a very special result. Top angling!!

Scopex Peach & N/B = Happy Customers!!
Alan Pritchard has been knocking a few very nice carp out of the Staffordshire area of late. Alan kindly sent in these three pictures for us to view. All carp took a liking to the "Scopex Peach & N/B.

Great result Alan, I think the smile on your face (when you're holding the 42 mirror) says it all. Job done!!!

New Forty
John Fenlon has been putting the Condensed Milk, Proper Jobs to good use of late. After the capture of a 42lbs mirror, John returned to the venue and banked a 31lbs 08oz mirror.
Here's what John had to say:

Hi Kevin
Thanks for the free packet of Condensed Milk pop ups. I used them at Anglers Paradise in Devon and caught a 42 pound mirror. It's is a new forty for the Kraken Lake, so I've have ordered some more thanks again....John

Many congrats on your chunky mirror/s (I bet that new forty turning up was a surprise) and thanks very much for sending in your feedback and pictures.
French Result
Mark Cooper had just returned from a fishing trip to France and he very kindly sent me this picture and feedback.
Here's what Mark had to say:

Hi Kevin
After a very hard couple of days On Heron Abbey lakes in France and only one fish out in 3 days. I tried the washed out pink, Savoury Coconut Specials which landed me another 4 fish, biggest of which was 46lb 12oz.

Once again one of your products has resulted in Fish, were no-one was catching, the only issue I had was I ran out of the 15 millers in the pot as one of my friends in our group was also using them, but I've just ordered some washed out pink Roosters to try this time. I got 2 pots of them, just in case.
Thank you again, great service, great product.

Regards
Mark Cooper

Congratulations Mark. Great result when the going is tuff!!
Another 30lbs Common
Jason Strutt sent in this picture of yet another 30lbs Common which took a liking to a 13mm Pineapple Proper Job, fished over Premier freebies.

Nice one Jason
Rig Mechanics
Ivan Payne has been putting the Proper Jobs to good use for a few years now and he very kindly put the following comments/review together along with a picture of a large mirror which took a liking to a 13mm Condensed Milk fished on a chod.
Here's what Ivan had to say:

Thanks Kevin
I have been using your pop ups for a few years now, and must say it has changed my angling completely.
I now incorporate a pop up or 'Tip' into 90% of my fishing. I don't use them so much as a flavour target, (shouldn't say that should I) but more a way of adding to the mechanics of the rig. However as I now have over 30 pots to choose from I always change colour or flavour to keep them guessing. I would imagine most anglers would
stick to a winning colour/flavour combination, but I have had big hits both home and abroad by changing things every couple of casts. The best thing about these pop ups is that they have the same buoyancy after 36 hours in the water as they do in the first hour, which means the rig mechanics are just as effective hours after
casting out.
Many thanks for some awesome catches.

Ivan
I would just like to say: Thanks very much for your comments Ivan and many congrats on the capture of that huge mirror.

Just saying Thanks
Richard Lane has been using the Proper Jobs for around two years now and he very kindly put the following review/comments/pictures together and sent them in.
Here's what Richard had to say:

Hi Kevin
After a few years using a variety of your pop ups I thought it was about time to send
you a thank you and sort of review.
Basically your pop ups do exactly what they should do pop up and catch fish!
I use a few rigs for the majority of my angling and they nearly all require the pop up to do its job of staying buoyant for the required amount of time and hold the rig/hook in the exact position that I want it and for as long as I need it to.
After using a multitude of other pop ups which have all fell short in one way or the other. These (yours) are the ones that I now use for all my angling that requires the use of a pop up which equates to probably 80% of my carping actually.
Having the confidence that my presentation is exactly as I want and that my rig is working at 100% efficiency for the duration of my session is critical and Proper Job pop ups have given me that confidence.
Favorites from your range are: Squid and Octoplus in Burgundy, Banana in Orange, Choc Malt and Scopex Cream. I mostly use them in 11mm and 13mm, especially as they are so buoyant.
Fished as a single hook bait or over bait or as a topper on bottom baits, it hasn't mattered, they work for me.
Right enough rambling.
Thanks again Kevin
All the best
Richard Lane.

Not that you need them but here's a few pics of various carp that I have caught on your pop ups.
Cheers!

I would just like to say: Congrats on the capture of some fine carp and thanks for sending in your review/comments on the Proper Jobs. I'm pleased you appreciate their performance/longevity, as it was mainly those two reasons which made me start my business in the first place!!

Having Confidence in a Product is a Must
Charles has been putting the Proper Jobs to good use of late and he very kindly sent in a selection of pictures for us to look at. I have only included two pictures here as the rest are available to be viewed in the Gallery.
Here's what Charles had to say about the pops:

Hi Kev
Thought I'd send you a message. I have been using your pops for years now and swear by them! Without a doubt the best on the market, lovely smells and stay buoyant and tough. It's hard to find that in a pop up! They are one of those little edges you need! You don't hear them mentioned lots, but a lot of anglers have a tub of PJPU! I fish some fairly demanding waters and it's so good to have a hook bait you know won't let you down! So I thought I'd put something back. I've attached a few pics of some pretty carp I have caught on your pop ups. Feel free to use them. Cheers,
Charles Glasse.

Thanks very much for your feedback and pictures Charles. I'm very pleased the Proper Jobs helped towards your results.
